Carleton University and CACSL in collaboration with multiple community agencies and academic institutions submitted a letter of intent for a research proposal to the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). The goal of the research is to identify and increase positive community impacts from community engaged scholarship in the areas of poverty reduction, community food security, environmental sustainability and violence against women.
The primary objective of the CFICE project is to critically examine strategies and practices for optimizing community impacts in community service learning (CSL) and other forms of community-university engagement (CUE).
