On behalf of the Canadian Alliance for Community Service-Learning (CACSL) and the organizers of the CACSL 2012 national conference in May 2012, we are very pleased to present this free webinar on developmental evaluation within the context of community service-learning.
This webinar is part of follow up activities to the CACSL 2012 conference. The topic was determined based on feedback from the post-conference survey, which indicated attendees’ interest in methods of evaluation for community service-learning. The topic also aligns with and is a preface to the community service-learning pre-conference workshop day on June 12, part of the CU Expo in Cornerbrook, Newfoundland & Labrador June 12-15.
Developmental Evaluation Webinar
Date: 1:00 to 2:00 pm EDT
Time: Thursday, May 23, 2013
Developmental evaluation is a tool for supporting social change initiatives. Because conventional program evaluation can inhibit innovation, more people are turning to developmental evaluation for programs that are complex and multi-dimensional.
This webinar will focus on the possibilities for developmental evaluation in community service-learning programs and partnerships in Canada. Marc Langlois will facilitate this webinar, introducing participants to developmental evaluation and answering questions about how it can fit into your community work.
Marc Langlois, presenting and facilitating this webinar, has worked in the field of youth engagement, community development and social innovation for 25 years.
Following his years as co-founder and Executive Director of HeartWood, Centre for Community Youth Development, Marc went on to work, study and research across Canada in comprehensive community development and whole systems change.
He is in the final stages of completing a PhD and now works freelance with community and not-for-profit organizations, governments, and foundations in the design, creation, and evaluation of enterprising social innovations.
To register, just email your name and affiliation (community organization, university, college, etc.) to email@example.com and you will receive a link to join the webinar.
