Membership support enabled CACSL to continue to support the CSL community in numerous ways. In addition to maintaining a presence to offer advice and guidance to those new to CSL we:
- Launched of a collaborative blog for where subscribers can connect with the CSL community
- Hosted a national symposium May 2011 on Community Campus Partnerships: What makes them work?
- Presentated at the Society for Excellence in Teaching and Learning
- Provided a series of webinars for CSL students on connecting their CSL experiences to their career aspirations
- Partnered with Carleton University in submitting a successful LOI to SSHRC and moving forward with the development of a full proposal
- Supported the Atlantic Region in coming together to consider ways to create an Atlantic network.
Next year with your support we intend to continue finding ways to support the growth and development of CSL in Canada. Planned activities include:
- Launch of the Community First: Impacts of Community Engagement project should the proposal to SSHRC be successful
- Co-host a national community service-learning conference May 10-12 at the U o S
- Launch of a revised website with increased interactivity
- Due to their warm reception, offer the CSL and your career webinars again in late February.
- Initiate a dialogue forum
- Maintain CACSL’s support for CSL practitioners
